May 22, 2006 - Auston Harris Racing rolled into Tooele, Utah, just a few miles west of Salt Lake City to challenge the brand new, massive, Miller Motorsports Park, featuring 4.486 miles and 23 turns. The newest purpose built road course in the country features facilities on a world class level with GP garages on the pit lane, day garages in the paddock, long term garages, a clubhouse and acres of paved paddock. A truly impressive facility.

At the end of the qualifying session 15 year old Auston was fourth on the grid driving the Team Cobalt California/GM Performance Chevy Cobalt with a time of 3:22.4.

The standing-start had cars scattering everywhere on the Miller Motorsports Park 50 foot wide front straightaway. Auston had a very poor start when second gear in the gearbox broke immediately. Auston found himself 12th after his first lap, but began a great charge to wards the front.
At the finish, Auston had recovered from 12th spot to make it all the way back to fifth, winning the Apex Integration Top Rookie Award.

Auston is in fourth place for the 2006 USTCC Series Championship and first in the Apex Integration Rookie of the Year standings.
