Formula TR Rounds 13 and 14 Plus
Hayward, CA Sep 12, 2005 – The Formula TR 1600 Rounds 13 and 14 were exciting for Auston Harris.  In his closest racing of the year he scored a second place finish in Round 13 while recording the fastest race lap.  Along the way to this finish he took an off course excursion that exercised all of the chassis protection devices underneath the car.  The team spent many hours repairing the car for Round 14.  Round 14 was again extremely close and exciting racing for Auston with spectators watching the intensity of his battle.  When the checkered flag flew, Auston finished fourth.  Auston is third in the series championship with the final four rounds pending.

Auston was introduced to sedans when he completed a 20-minute testing session on Friday.  He competed in two SpecE30 races over the weekend and took first place in both outings.  Quite an accomplishment for someone who has never driven an “H” pattern shift car before; after all Auston cannot drive on the street until he gets his drivers license which is still two years away, he is just 14.
