Oakland, CA - May 23, 2005.  The temperature was blistering at Phoenix International Raceway for Rounds 5 and 6 of the Formula TR Series. The ambient temperature at race time was 112 in the shade of the garage.  The word for the weekend was "brutal".  As the team left the track Sunday night its drivers had maintained their positions in the series championship despite the temperature and adversities they suffered during the weekend.

Round 5 saw Auston qualify third and finish fourth, fighting back from a stop and go penalty.

Round 6 competition saw Auston qualifying seventh and then suffering an unusual mechanical failure finishing in his starting position.

In spite of the ups and downs of the weekend Auston maintained his fourth in championship series positions. 

Rounds 7 and 8 are at Portland International Raceway in just two weeks, June 3-5, 2005.
